Smart Meter Requirements
The minimum functionality of smart metering devices respectively smart meters was stipulated for Austria in the regulation „Smart Meter Anforderungs VO2011 - IMA-VO2011,” by Federal Law on November 11, 2011. As a consequence, traditional meter reading on site will become unnecessary. The 336th regulation of E-Control is an essential step towards the extensive rollout of smart meters and as a logical next step, prepares the implementation of smart grids. Thus required installations and processes to provide supply security and enable energy efficiency have come into reach. GÖRLITZ support OSGP initiative from ESNA
Our parent company GÖRLITZ AG welcomes ESNA’s OSGP initiative and its Technical Liaison Partnership with CENELEC. ESNA is a global non-profit association whose members represent a diverse cross-section of the utility industry, system solution and service providers and share the same goals and visions. The CENELEC Technical Bureau has already included the OSGP as a new work item, referenced under CLC/prTS50xxx; “OSGP for utility metering, tariff, load control and other applications - communication protocols, data structures and procedures”.
